Winter Landscapes - XIII: Winter Sunset over the Continental Divide
Continuing my series on Winter Landscapes we go to the Continental Divide in the Canadian Rockies.
As I was coming back from Lake Louise in Alberta and crossing over the Continental Divide into Yoho National Park in British Columbia I saw this amazing sunset reflecting off a river. I immediately pulled off to the side knowing I wouldn't have a lot of time to get a photo. But I did manage a few. Here's one of those:

Winter Landscape Photos - VII
As I have mentioned before, I am not a Landscape Photographer. I remain at awe of how they can capture 180 degree landscapes in two dimensions.
Yet, spending as much time in the wilderness photographing wildlife I do see some amazing landscapes. And because I have a camera in my hand occasionally I take a photo.
Here are some of my better winter landscape photos:

Winter Wildlife Photos: Wood Duck
Continuing my series on Winter Wildlife Photos we have the Wood Duck.
I was traveling in Eastern Oregon with a stop at Mahleur National Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is not know for its abundant "winter wildlife," so I was pleasantly surprised to find this Wood Duck in a small creek. He certainly seemed out of place:

Winter Wildlife Photos: White Tailed Deer
NOTE: Welcome Bhutan, the 138th Country of the World to visit our Blog. Thank you. Once again, I am both amazed and heart-warmed by people all over the world who share the same love of nature. Clearly something that brings us together as humans.
Continuing my series on Winter Wildlife Photos we come to the White Tailed Deer.
I took this photo in Western Montana. Among other reasons, I like it because it shows the different stages of emotion of White Tails. When the tail is down, the deer is "calm," when the tail is parallel, the deer is "cautious," when the tail is up, the deer is "afraid."
