Wildlife of The Azure Gate Bed and Breakfast - Part IV

Continuing with some photos of wildlife taken since the pandemic started:

Three of the four US gnatcatchers can be found in Arizona: the Black-capped, Black-tailed, and Blue-gray.

The Black-capped is rare to the United States, only found in the Santa Rita Mountains.

 The Black-tailed Gnatcatcher range is Southwest Texas, and the southern parts of New Mexico, Arizona, and California. This little gnatcatcher nests here at The Azure Gate and with some persistence can usually be found, often in pairs:

 The Blue-gray Gnatcatcher's range is more widespread, the only gnatcatcher found outside the Southwest. It too nests here at The Azure Gate, though a little less often seen than the Black-tailed:

More from Mount Lemmon

Another quick trip up Mount Lemmon proved somewhat successful. I have been trying to locate the Lewis Woodpecker that has been reported, but to no avail. Yet, as usual, I did find some nice birds:

I saw but didn't get good photographs of Olive, Graces, and Hermit Warblers. But I did get several nice photos of Painted Redstarts, Red Faced Warblers, and Townsend's Warblers:

I have been working on a NEW website. The old one I developed ten years ago through Apple's iWeb software. Unfortunately, several years ago Apple decided not to support iWeb any longer. Yet it still worked okay. However, with the latest Apple Operating System (El Capitan) I can't update my site any longer.

All this to say, I have been busy and haven't written a post for a week. So, let me catch up. As I was working on my new website, I realized that my Gnatcatcher photos weren't up to my new standard. So I set out for Molino Basin five miles up Mount Lemmon. This I believe is the most reliable spot for the Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher. (I have seen them here at The Azure Gate. In fact, a few years ago a guest found a BGG in her nest near our Catalina Guest House).

As some thought process and luck had it, I was able to get some nice photos at Molino Basin. Here are a few of them: The Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher:
