Garden Canyon, Huachuca Mountains
Catching up a bit from an unusually busy summer.
Christine and I took our daughter and son-in-law to Fort Huachuca. After getting passes for them we headed up Garden Canyon for a hike in Sawmill Canyon at the end of the road.
It was a lovely time and beautiful hike. Lots of butterflies this time of year and seemingly endless supply of Grace's Warblers.
Although my "focus" was on family, I did get a couple of photos to share:

Two Tailed Swallowtail
Continuing with my alphabetical series on my "5" Star Photos we come to the Two Tailed Swallowtail.
I was hiking in Huachuca Canyon, Huachuca Mountains, Arizona when I came across a small stream with hundreds of Two Tailed Swallowtail butterflies. I was able to get many good photos. Here's the one I like best:

Fort Huachuca: Garden Canyon - Part II
In addition to the Montezuma Quail, there were hundreds of butterflies. You could put your finger in front of one and let him walk onto your finger. In the first photo you'll see Christine with a butterfly on her shoulder. There probably were other species, but I did get photos of seven different kinds of butterflies.
