Fort Huachuca: Garden Canyon - Part III

Rarely do I hike or drive through Garden Canyon that I don't see some White Tail Deer. This time was no different -- except that there were several young bucks included in the group. As you can see their antlers are still in the growing stage having plenty of velvet on them. This, in contrast to Elk or Moose (that live in colder climates) where the velvet is gone or almost gone and they are preparing for the rut by this time.
