Coincidental to yesterday's blog about the Spotted Owl, our neighbor called and said that one of the baby Great Horned Owlets was out of the nest. When I went over to take a look, not only was the baby out of the nest but both mom and dad were in perfect position for clear shots. The top photo is the female, the middle photo the male, and the bottom photo the baby. There is probably one or possibly two additional owlets still in the nest. One nice thing was that I was able to return the favor to our guests who had told us about the Spotted Owl in Miller Canyon. So, I took them across the street to see the Great Horned Owls.
