Whitewater Draw Revisited Again

So, as promised on to the American Bittern. The American Bittern is a wading bird in the Heron family, feeding in marshes and ponds on amphibians, insects, fish, and reptiles. It winters here in the Southwest but is uncommon and not easily found -- seen. One thing that makes the Bittern unique is how he reacts to presumed threats. The Bittern stands straight up stretching his neck and head toward the sky in order to blend in with the reeds. He remains motionless for several minutes until the threat is gone.
