Tanagers are medium sized and very colorful birds, three of which are found in the Southwest. The top photo is the Hepatic Tanager only found in Arizona and New Mexico. This one was photographed in Ramsey Canyon. The second photo is a female Summer Tanager found in the Galiuro Mountains. The third photo is the male Summer Tanager along the San Pedro River, and the last photo is the Western Tanager taken at Agua Caliente.
